Setting the Truss, Sheathing
The truss was constructed out of various sized timbers: 6X8's for the top and bottom chords, and 6X6's for the web members. They were fastened with 7/8 inch bolts through 1/4 inch truss plates.
The timber-framed truss will support the roof over the porch. It was set using a tractor with forks.
After the truss was set the roof framing was completed and the rest of the sheathing was installed. The roof was ready for fascia, paper and metal.
